MONSTA X’s Kihyun is set to make his solo comeback after a four-year hiatus.

The K-pop star will drop his second mini-album BORDERLINE on various music platforms at 6:00 p.m. (Korean time) on Tuesday, marking his return as a solo artist after nearly 3 years and 9 months.

BORDERLINE represents Kihyun’s most definitive musical statement to date. Following his solo debut single “Voyager,” which introduced his unique sonic landscape, and his first mini-album YOUTH, which expanded his artistic presence, Kihyun now aims to showcase a deeper musical maturity. The new album promises to authentically capture the voice of an artist who has chosen his path and is confidently walking it.

The album boasts a diverse array of meticulously crafted tracks, anchored by Kihyun’s signature rock sound. It features seven songs, including the title track “So Good,” which encapsulates the album’s core message. Other tracks include “Borderline,” “Stealin’ Air,” “Domino,” “Lazy Day,” “Late Night Drive,” and “Howling,” each contributing to the album’s rich musical tapestry.

Kihyun first rose to fame as a member of MONSTA X, debuting with the group in 2015. The band has since released numerous hits, including “Shoot Out,” “Dramarama,” “Love Killa,” and “Beautiful.” In 2022, Kihyun took his first steps as a solo artist, further diversifying his musical career.

After completing his mandatory military service from 2023 to 2025, Kihyun dedicated the first half of this year to MONSTA X activities. Now, he’s gearing up to reconnect with fans as a solo artist in the latter half of the year, promising an exciting new chapter in his musical journey.
