Younghoon from the K-pop group The Boyz is embarking on a new journey with Namoo Actors.
On Friday, Namoo Actors announced the signing of an exclusive contract with Younghoon. The agency expressed their enthusiasm, stating that they’re thrilled to collaborate with Younghoon, an artist with boundless potential. They’re committed to providing unwavering support as he showcases his unique talents and charisma as an actor.
Younghoon will continue his group activities alongside his new endeavors. The agency added that it’ll actively support The Boyz’s activities and ensure that the cherished relationship with their devoted fans remains strong. Younghoon made his debut with The Boyz in 2017. The group has garnered significant popularity with hit tracks like “Boy,” “Reveal,” “The Stealer,” “Thrill Ride,” “Watch It,” and “Trigger.”
Younghoon’s acting career took off in 2020 with the web drama Love Revolution, where he portrayed Lee Kyung-woo. He further demonstrated his acting prowess with special appearances in SBS’s One the Woman as young Han Seung-wook in 2021, and in tvN’s Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Dong Bang-sak in 2023.

In related news, The Boyz announced on the 6th that they had signed a new group contract. Members Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, Q, Sunwoo, and Eric have collectively decided to continue their journey as The Boyz. The group will operate under a newly established label system.
Earlier this year, the nine members notified their previous agency, One Hundred, of their intent to terminate their contract in February. They subsequently filed for a provisional injunction to suspend the contract’s effectiveness, which was granted by the Seoul Central District Court in April.
