IVE, the K-pop sensation, has once again proven their formidable presence in Japan by securing platinum certification from the Japan Record Association.
The association’s Monday announcement of Gold Disc certifications revealed that IVE’s fourth Japanese album, LUCID DREAM, has surpassed 250,000 copies in cumulative shipments, earning the coveted platinum status.
Released in May, the album quickly dominated both the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking and the Weekly Album Ranking, clinching two No. 1 spots. It also boasted the highest initial sales for a foreign female artist this year, moving an impressive 120,000 copies.
Beyond album success, IVE is making waves with their live performances. Their second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM, drew a record-breaking crowd of 127,000 fans at the Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome shows. The group’s dome tour has garnered significant attention from major local media outlets and broadcast networks.
In a notable achievement, IVE was the sole K-pop act featured on TV Asahi’s Music Station 1500th Anniversary Summer 2-Hour Special, further expanding their reach across prime-time music broadcasts and variety shows.
The six-member girl group is currently on their SHOW WHAT I AM world tour, having just wrapped up North American performances in Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, and Vancouver this month.
