NCT 127 expressed their support for former member Mark.

At a press conference held on Monday morning at the SKY31 Convention in Lotte World Tower, Seoul, the group addressed questions about their feelings post-Mark’s departure and the team’s future direction.

Taeyong reflected that when it debuted, he envisioned them all together even a decade later. But given the team’s dynamic nature, adapting to changes has been challenging and heartbreaking at times. He added that nevertheless, the seven remaining members are committed to creating lasting memories with the fans and honoring their trust.

He continued that Mark was with us for a decade, and he deeply respects his dedication to juggling two teams. While the paths have diverged, it respects and support his journey.

Addressing how they’ve filled the gaps left by Mark and the military-serving members Doyoung and Jungwoo, Haechan admitted that the absence is palpable. He noted that while they each had their strengths, the current five-member lineup is more than capable. It approached this album with confidence, and he’s proud of what they’ve accomplished.

NCT 127 is set to drop their seventh studio album, BLINGY, on Monday at 6:00 p.m. (Korean time) across all major music platforms. The album embodies the group’s deep pride and their One Team ethos, promising to continue blazing their own trail. Marking their 10th anniversary, BLINGY serves as a reflection on their decade-long journey together.

The title track “Blingy” is a hip-hop banger featuring distorted synths, hard-hitting drum beats, and chanting choruses. The group puts their unique spin on reggae and dubstep elements, resulting in an intense soundscape. Lyrically, it paints the image of an ever-burning flame, showcasing NCT 127’s confidence in their unparalleled performance skills and deep-rooted team pride.

The album also includes “Piñata,” an explosive track promising to turn their performances into full-blown celebrations; “Legacy,” spreading positivity over their home base of Seoul; and “Step Up,” a testament to their resilience in the face of adversity. Rounding out the nine-track album is the fan tribute “127 Million Miles,” alongside a diverse array of genres.

NCT 127 is gearing up for an extensive promotional campaign following the album’s release.
