LG Electronics announced on Thursday that it has launched the LG CineBeam AI (model name HU925V) in South Korea, marking the company’s return to the market after a four-year hiatus.

The LG CineBeam AI is a premium ultra-short-throw (UST) projector capable of producing a crisp 100-inch image from less than 3.9 inches (10 cm) away from a wall or screen.

This home cinema solution is perfect for creating a personal movie theater, even in compact spaces. It can project a 90 to 120-inch 4K ultra high definition (UHD) image from just 2.2 to 7.2 inches (5.6 to 18.3 cm) away.

Unlike traditional projectors that require ceiling or rear-room mounting, this model doesn’t encroach on living space. Its proximity to the screen also minimizes disruptions from passing objects or people casting shadows.

The projector boasts cinema-grade 4K UHD resolution (3840×2160 pixels), quadrupling the detail of full high definition (FHD) (1920×1080). It excels in rendering intricate scenes, rapid motion, color gradients, and subtle textures with precision.

Featuring a three-channel red, green and blue (RGB) laser system, the CineBeam AI delivers richer, more accurate colors. Its impressive 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio adds depth to images, enhancing the viewing experience.

With a brightness of up to 3,000 ANSI lumens, the projector maintains clarity even in well-lit rooms.

The standout feature of this new model is its artificial intelligence (AI) processor. Equipped with the third-generation Alpha 8 AI 4K processor, it offers a suite of smart features:

These include AI Picture Pro for image optimization, AI Sound Pro for audio enhancement, AI Magic Remote for intuitive control, AI Search for real-time content lookup, AI Concierge for personalized recommendations, AI Voice ID for voice recognition, and AI Picture Wizard for fine-tuning visuals.

To complement its stellar visuals, the CineBeam AI packs a punch in the audio department. It comes with built-in 2-channel 40-watt speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, delivering immersive, multidirectional sound.

Dolby Atmos, developed by Dolby Laboratories, creates a three-dimensional soundscape by incorporating positional audio data, even utilizing ceiling speakers when available. This technology is widely used in cinemas, home theaters, headphones, and music streaming platforms.

The projector measures 26.8 inches (68 cm) wide, 13.7 inches (34.7 cm) deep, and 5.0 inches (12.8 cm) high, weighing 28.0 pounds (12.7 kg). Its sleek design, available in black and silver with metallic accents, ensures it blends seamlessly into any decor.

Priced at 5,290,000 KRW (approximately 3,890 USD), the LG CineBeam AI will be available on LG’s official online store, LGE.com, starting on the 3rd. It will also hit major Best Shop locations by mid-month.
