The twin version of the song “Cupid” by the girl group FIFTY FIFTY has surpassed 5 million listens on Shazam, a global music searching platform, marking the first for a female K-pop artist.

Recently, FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid” twin version reached 5 million listeners on Shazam, proving its global popularity. This is a record high for a Korean female artist, with BTS being the only K-pop group to have previously achieved this milestone.

Shazam is the most famous music search app worldwide, boasting over 100 million users. When searching for a song, it shows you the title and the number of times it has been Shazamed. Based on this, it provides various statistics, such as a map with locations where users mostly searched for the song.

The “Cupid” twin version is the English lyric version of the title track “Cupid” from their first single album released in February 2023. It started gaining global popularity on platforms like TikTok and made numerous records on major charts such as the U.S. Billboard, U.K. Official, and Global Spotify, creating a sensation.

Meanwhile, the “Cupid” twin version re-entered three charts on the U.S. Billboard in February of this year, including 9th place in World Digital Song Sales, 15th in World Album, and 197th in Global 200 Excl U.S., demonstrating its continued popularity and interest.
