North Korean leader Kim Jong Un issued a stark warning, threatening to “mercilessly employ all available attack capabilities, including nuclear weapons” if perceived threats to the sovereignty of his regime continue.

Kim’s remarks, reported by the state-run Rodong Sinmun on Friday, were made during an inspection of a special operations forces training site on Wednesday, where he reviewed the troops’ combat readiness.

Kim also reacted strongly to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol’s speech at the National Armed Forces Day event held on October 1, in which the president mentioned the end of the North Korean regime.

He criticized Yoon’s speech as “consistently rooted in an anti-republic obsession and reflecting a sense of victimization toward our republic,” adding, “This reveals the security anxiety and nervous mentality that the puppets are burdened with.”

Specifically addressing Yoon’s mention of a “resolute and overwhelming response” from the South Korea-U.S. alliance, Kim dismissed it as bluster and aggressive posturing. He went further, accusing Yoon of admitting that South Korea itself was a destabilizing force in the region.

Kim also insinuated doubts about Yoon’s mental stability, questioning whether he is an “abnormal man.”

Reaffirming North Korea’s status as a nuclear power, Kim emphasized that the country has “irreversibly secured its absolute strength as a nuclear state” and warned that any military conflict with a nuclear power would render South Korea’s survival and the continued existence of Seoul impossible.
