On Tuesday, Hong posted a photo taken with the late Song Jae Rim on his social media account, expressing his sorrow. He wrote, “I grieve that I will never see your wonderful smile again, and I am heartbroken to have had to let you go without saying a proper goodbye, without being able to take better care of you.”

“I am so sorry, truly sorry. I failed miserably as an older brother. Rest in peace,” he added. His words conveyed a deep sense of regret and sorrow.

Meanwhile, the late actor passed away suddenly on the 12th at the age of 39. His memorial is set up at Yeouido St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Hall in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, and the funeral will be held at noon on Thursday.

Song made his debut in 2009 with the film Actresses and appeared in dramas such as The Moon Embracing the Sun, Flower Boy Ramen Shop, How to Be Thirty, Fantastic Tower, Inspiring Generation, The Idle Mermaid, and Unkind Ladies, as well as films like Mad Love, Bait, Snobs, and Yaksha. He also gained attention in 2014 with his appearance on the variety show We Got Married.

He recently appeared in the June drama Bleeding Romance and the August drama Queen Woo. He also performed in the musical The Rose of Versailles at the Chungmu Art Center from July to October. His film Crash: A Man Whose Business Failed, which recently wrapped filming, is awaiting release.
