BTS member Jin, who debuted his first solo album since the group’s launch, provided 90 minutes of happiness for fans.

On Sunday afternoon, Jin hosted Jin’s Happy Special Stage, a fan showcase celebrating the release of his first solo album, “Happy,” at the Jangchung Arena in Jung-gu, Seoul. He met with ARMY, the BTS fandom.

Jin, who completed his military service in June, released his first-ever solo album five months later. While he had previously showcased songs like “Awake,” “Epiphany,” “Moon,” and the single “The Astronaut,” this marks his first full album release.

Jin made his entrance with his characteristic smile, lifting the curtain on the stage. He greeted fans by saying, “Since returning to civilian life after my military service, I’ve eagerly awaited the day I could meet ARMY. Thank you for filling the seats today and joining us online. Released on November 15, “Happy” conveys a message of joining the journey to find happiness. Jin shares his honest thoughts on happiness throughout the album and expresses his warm affection for ARMY. Reflecting on the album’s theme, Jin displayed joy throughout the performance. Acting as both performer and the main MC, he communicated closely with fans and shared his views on happiness.

Jin even prepared a presentation about his album “Happy” and its central theme of happiness. He shared that when he thinks of joy, he thinks of BTS, sleep, ARMY, and food, revealing behind-the-scenes stories tied to each track. He also took a fan’s question about the fan-dedicated song “I will come for you” and interacted spontaneously, drawing attention.

Although the event showcased his new album, Jin performed various songs live. Opening the show with the title track “Running Wild,” he delivered tracks such as “Falling,” “Heart on the Window (with Wendy),” “I will come for you,” “Another Level,” and the pre-released track “I’ll Be There.” He also performed solo songs like “Super Tuna,” “Moon,” and “The Astronaut,” thrilling fans with his wide-ranging setlist.

In a surprise appearance, Red Velvet’s Wendy joined Jin on stage, delivering a stunning duet. Wendy shared, “When I first heard the song, I loved it. Practicing it was great, meeting the composer was amazing, and even recording it felt so good. Right now, I’m so nervous—though it’s been 11 years since my debut, this feels like a re-debut moment.”

Jin shared a behind-the-scenes story about their collaboration: “I knew a hyung who had Wendy’s number, so I asked, ‘Can you make one call for me?’ I said, ‘Hello, this is Jin from BTS. Do you know me?’ and she said yes. I then asked, ‘I’m releasing an album and would love to do a duet with you. What do you think?’ She happily agreed, and everything came together seamlessly.”

Jin, who wanted to make ARMY happy, said, “In my life, I’ve experienced incredible happiness, but I’ve found there’s always another kind of happiness waiting. If we’re patient, even greater happiness will come. I hope you can embrace the journey until it finds you.”
