51-year-old South Korean actor Jung Woo Sung has revealed that he is the biological father of a son born to 16-years-younger model Moon Gabi, bringing renewed attention to one of his past interviews.
During the promotion of the film Remember You in 2016, Jung participated in a Naver V Live session, where he received a marriage proposal from a fan with the username Middle Schooler from Hapjeong.
The fan asked, “I want to marry Jung Woo Sung. What is Jung’s ideal type? Could I marry him?”
In response, Jung said, “Middle Schooler from Hapjeong, what is your name? The age gap is something we cannot overcome. When you reach the age of getting married, someone cooler than me, a perfect match for you, will appear. And when that happens, you will quickly forget about me.”

Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung and Moon Gabi first met in 2022 and kept in touch, growing closer. In June last year, Moon informed Jung that she was pregnant with his child.
She gave birth to a son this past March, and Jung personally chose the baby’s nickname. Jung also participated in preparing for the baby’s arrival, discussing postnatal care and hospital arrangements with Moon. However, it is known that their relationship was not based on plans for marriage.
Jung stated, “We are currently discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, I will take full responsibility for him.”
