Rosé of BLACKPINK has made history with her hit single “APT.”, soaring to No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and setting a new record for K-pop female artists.

Billboard unveiled its latest Hot 100 chart (dated February 1) on Tuesday. It revealed that “APT.” released in October, has climbed two spots to No. 3, marking a historic achievement for K-pop female artists.

“APT.” is inspired by Korea’s widely popular Apartment Game. The track stands out with its infectious, upbeat sound and features global pop sensation Bruno Mars, who helped elevate its production quality.

The single debuted at No. 8 on the Hot 100 on November 2, 2024, already setting a record as the highest-charting song by a K-pop female artist. Since then, it has continued to gain momentum and maintain strong popularity. Remarkably, even three months after its release, “APT.” has continued to rise, propelling Rosé to a career-defining moment. By reaching No. 3, she has surpassed her previous record and set a new benchmark for K-pop female artists.

“APT.” has now spent an impressive 14 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100. This sustained success has sparked speculation among fans and industry insiders about how much higher the track can climb and whether Rosé will break even more records in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK is gearing up for full-group activities later this year, much to the excitement of its massive global fanbase.
