Musician Lee Sang Soon, best known as the husband of K-pop superstar Lee Hyori, expressed his excitement about joining the Grammy Awards live broadcast team in South Korea.

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards occurred on Sunday at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The star-studded ceremony was hosted by Trevor Noah, the popular comedian and TV host. This was his fifth consecutive year as the event’s master of ceremonies.

South Korea’s leading music channel, Mnet, provided live coverage of the ceremony in Korea. Lee Sang Soon co-hosted the broadcast alongside renowned music critic Kim Young Dae and former television announcer-turned-broadcaster Shin A Young.

During the broadcast, Lee Sang Soon shared his enthusiasm, saying, “It’s an incredible honor to be part of this momentous occasion. I’m thrilled to co-host with the esteemed music critic Kim Young Dae and the talented broadcaster Shin A Young.”

He added humbly, “I’m relying on my co-hosts’ expertise in contemporary pop music. I’m here to enjoy the performances and feel truly privileged to be part of this experience.”

The Grammy Awards, organized by the Recording Academy, continue to be one of the most prestigious events in the music industry. However, despite the genre’s growing global influence, K-pop artists have not received nominations for the second consecutive year.

This year’s ceremony also carried extra significance, as it aimed to raise funds for recovery following the recent devastating wildfires in California. The event paid tribute to the brave firefighters and featured various fundraising initiatives, highlighting how music can foster unity and support in times of crisis.
