Korean rock band YB is set to make a major return to the music scene this Wednesday. It will release its highly anticipated pre-release single, “Rebellion. ” This marks the beginning of its comeback since its last release, “Promise,” dropped last February.

“Rebellion” signals a bold new direction for YB as they transition into a hybrid metal genre. Written by Yoon Do Hyun, the band’s lead vocalist, the track was co-produced and composed with Choi Tae Seob, a former bassist for the band Rainy Sun, who has since become a producer.

The song is a powerful anthem of liberation, expressing a fierce desire to break free from oppression and constraints—perfectly capturing YB’s experimental transformation. The track also features JYP Entertainment’s rising boy band, Xdinary Heroes, who contribute their talents as featured artists. To further build excitement, Xdinary Heroes will also appear in the music video, adding to the buzz.

The collaboration between YB and Xdinary Heroes isn’t new. Last year, Yoon Do Hyun made a memorable appearance on “iNSTEAD!” by Xdinary Heroes, contributing his signature growling vocals. The two acts showcased undeniable chemistry through joint performances, and now they’re teaming up once again for “Rebellion.”

Following the release of “Rebellion,” YB will drop its full EP, LP, and KiT album on February 26. The group will also celebrate its new metal release with live performances at Rolling Hall in Seoul on March 1 and 2, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in its musical journey.
