SEVENTEEN’s new special unit, Hoshi X Woozi, is set to make its debut.

On Wednesday, its agency, Pledis Entertainment, revealed through the fan platform Weverse and SEVENTEEN’s official social media accounts that the special unit Hoshi X Woozi will release its first single album, BEAM, on March 10.

The teaser video introduces the Hoshi X Woozi logo alongside the album title, setting a captivating and intense atmosphere. The monochrome visuals, shifting between light and dark, create a fresh and artistic vibe. The video ends with the reveal of BEAM‘s release date, heightening anticipation among fans.

The album title, BEAM, represents the radiance emanating from Hoshi X Woozi. From their early trainee days to now being recognized as one of K-pop’s top groups, their originality and self-confidence, developed through years of challenges, are expressed in multiple forms of light.

Hoshi X Woozi are forming this special unit after nearly eight years since their collaboration on the track “Shoot Me Before You Go” from SEVENTEEN’s second full album, TEEN, AGE, released in November 2017. Both born in 1996 and leaders of SEVENTEEN’s performance and vocal teams, their chemistry as long-time friends promises a dynamic and authentic experience for fans.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN continues to expand its musical reach through various special units. The subunit BSS (Seungkwan, DK, Hoshi) has captivated both the public and fans with hit songs like “Just Do It” and “Fighting” (featuring Lee Young Ji), followed by its January release “Jeans.” Similarly, Jeonghan and Wonwoo made waves with its debut single “This Man” last June, achieving the highest first-week sales for a K-pop unit album.
