On Wednesday, Hankook Tire & Technology announced it will supply its Dynapro AT2 Extreme as the original equipment (OE) tire for Kia’s first authentic pickup truck, the Australian model Tasman.

The Dynapro AT2 Extreme is an all-terrain tire engineered explicitly for high-performance Sport Utility vehicles (SUV) and pickup trucks. It offers robust traction, superior braking, responsive handling, and enhanced mileage, supporting the Tasman X-Pro’s performance even in the most challenging driving conditions.

The tire’s innovative tread design features multidirectional grooves, ensuring exceptional grip, cornering stability, and handling prowess regardless of driving direction. Moreover, it has earned the prestigious Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certification, a crucial European standard for winter tires that guarantees safe performance on snow, ice, and wet surfaces. The Dynapro AT2 Extreme also incorporates advanced technology to resist chipping, reduce rolling resistance for extended tire life, and minimize road noise.

A Hankook Tire & Technology spokesperson expressed optimism about its OE supply deal, stating, “We anticipate that this partnership will significantly elevate the reputation of our SUV-focused tire brand Dynapro among consumers in Australia and New Zealand.”
