The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to significantly enhance their camera performance, with new software features reportedly being added.

According to tech news site 9to5Mac on Tuesday, the camera app on the iPhone 17 Pro models will include an exclusive feature allowing users to record video from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

While third-party apps have previously enabled multi-camera recording on iPhones, this marks Apple’s first integration of the feature into its built-in camera app. The interface is likely to resemble FaceTime calls, with the rear camera footage dominating the screen and a smaller window displaying the front camera feed.

This feature is anticipated to be a valuable tool for YouTubers and content creators, though it will be exclusive to the Pro models. While some speculate that the A19 Pro chip’s performance enables this capability, the media suggests it could also be part of Apple’s strategy to further differentiate its Pro lineup.
