Elon Musk’s AI venture, xAI, has unveiled a groundbreaking update to its chatbot, Grok. The latest feature introduces real-time vision capabilities, marking a significant leap in AI interaction.

According to TechCrunch, users can now use their smartphone cameras to engage with Grok and ask questions about objects in their immediate environment.

The newly introduced Grok Vision allows users to point their phones at various items, from products and signage to documents, and ask questions about them. This cutting-edge feature is currently available on the iOS Grok app, while Android users will have to wait for its rollout on their platform.

In addition to visual recognition, Grok is expanding its linguistic horizons with multilingual audio support and enhancing its knowledge base with real-time search capabilities. These features are accessible to Android users, provided they’re subscribed to xAI’s premium SuperGrok plan, priced at 30 USD per month.

Grok’s evolution continues at a rapid pace. Earlier this month, xAI integrated a Memory component, enabling the AI to recall and reference past conversations. The company also introduced canvas-like document and app creation tools, further expanding Grok’s functionality.
