North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accompanied by his daughter Ju-ae, visited a major munitions factory and ordered an increase in production capacity for new artillery shells.

According to the Rodong Sinmun, the visit occurred on June 13, during which Kim Jong Un directed party and defense officials—including Jo Yong Won, Kim Tok Hun, Ri Hi Yong, Defense Minister No Kwang Chol, and Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui—to strengthen capabilities for producing these new shells.

Page two of the newspaper featured the Ryongaksan Soap Factory, claiming it produces over 250 products across 80 varieties to meet diverse consumer preferences. The article emphasized the party’s message that “everything the people use must be of the highest quality.”

The third page reported on a housing ceremony at the Najin Port farm on the 12th. This marks the third such celebration at the farm, aligning with the regime’s new rural development program and “people-first” policies.

The sixth page featured reports of citizens visiting the Central Class Education Hall, where they reportedly expressed outrage at the brutal atrocities of American imperialists. The article appears aimed at intensifying anti-U.S. sentiment ahead of the 75th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, which began on June 25, 1950.
