North Korea showcased its achievements across various sectors of the people’s economy as it approaches the 80th anniversary of the Workers’ Party.

The party’s official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on its front page on Thursday that officials and workers at the Musan Mining Complex successfully carried out the company’s second-largest 2.5 million mountain blasts. The operation, which took place on Wednesday, once again demonstrated the spirit and capabilities of the working class.

In the mining industry, several mines and enterprises met their production targets, while the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex noted a surge in workers’ enthusiasm for increased output.

Page 2 of the newspaper covered the Central Assembly for Adopting Loyalty Letters held by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on Monday at the Tokyo Korean Hall in commemoration of the party’s 80th anniversary. It also reported that the Korean Association in China convened a similar meeting on September 28 at Jilin Yumen Middle School.

The third page reported that small Sonyeon-ho tractors were donated to farms in South Hwanghae Province, with the newspaper urging the young recipients to further dedicate themselves to their country.

On page 4, it was noted that the rice harvest in Sinchon County had surpassed 66% completion, with threshing advancing rapidly. The 6th work team of Wolseong Farm was the first to finish harvesting on Monday, followed by over 60 work teams from other farms completing their harvest within the following two days.

Page 5 highlighted that elderly residents nationwide enjoyed cultural and recreational activities provided by the party in celebration of the International Day of Older Persons. The page also featured news of North Korean athletes’ victories at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships, which reportedly brought joy and excitement to the public.

An article on page 6 entitled, The True Nature of Politics for the People, criticized Western politicians and spokespersons who claim to represent the interests of the people, dismissing such claims as absurd arguments designed to conceal the anti-populist character of capitalist systems.
