North Korea recently held groundbreaking ceremonies for local factories and hospitals in the Sinuiju Greenhouse Comprehensive Farm District and in Kangnam and Maengsan counties.
The Workers’ Party official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on Wednesday that groundbreaking ceremonies for 2026 local development projects took place on Wednesday in the Sinuiju Greenhouse Comprehensive Farm District, Kangnam County, and Maengsan County. These projects aim to accelerate the construction of a prosperous and civilized nation through substantial and qualitative changes in local areas.
The newspaper emphasized that the year’s beginning and end are marked by local construction groundbreakings and completions. This continuous expansion of progress in material and cultural production reflects a clear advancement in people’s ideological awareness and cultural standards. It proves the validity and effectiveness of the local revolution that the Party has resolutely executed following a historic decision.
