KT has joined forces with key industry organizations to bolster its artificial intelligence (AI) talent development and certification system.

On Thursday, KT announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Artificial Intelligence and Software Industry Association (KOSA) to enhance AI capabilities nationwide and expand the AI Certificate for Everyone (AICE) program.

This partnership aims to improve the quality of the AICE certification exam and cultivate practical AI talent tailored to industry needs.

Both parties will establish a question review committee comprising experts from the AI industry and academia. This initiative seeks to enhance the professionalism and objectivity of the AI competency certification exam. They also plan to refine the evaluation system to reflect cutting-edge technological trends and industry demands.

KT expects this collaboration to significantly boost the credibility and distinction of the AICE certification exam, which has already achieved the milestone of becoming Korea’s first nationally certified AI competency assessment.

The partnership will also expand AI education for working professionals. Together, KT and KOSA will develop industry-driven curricula and implement tailored training programs to enhance companies’ AI utilization capabilities.

Moreover, they will leverage KOSA’s extensive industry network to strengthen promotion among member companies, both online and offline, to further popularize the AICE certification.

Jin Young-sim, KT’s Executive Director of Educational Business Cooperation, stated that the partnership with KOSA, South Korea’s premier AI expert organization, marks a significant step in elevating the quality and industry relevance of the AICE certification exam. It is committed to working closely with KOSA to achieve tangible results in the mission to enhance AI capabilities for all citizens.
