On Wednesday, at Google Cloud Next 2026 held in Las Vegas, U.S., Lee Ho-jun, Head of the Cloud Services Business Division at Samsung SDS (left), and Ruth Sun, President of Google Cloud Korea, announced a strategic partnership to strengthen business cooperation in the fields of AI, cloud, and security (Provided by Samsung SDS) 2026.4.23 / News1

On Thursday, Samsung SDS forged a strategic partnership with Google Cloud at the Google Cloud Next 2026 event in Las Vegas. The collaboration aims to bolster their joint efforts in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and security technologies.

This alliance will focus on developing generative AI and cloud solutions, with a particular emphasis on high-security and regulated sectors such as government and finance.

Samsung SDS plans to leverage Google’s Distributed Cloud (GDC) to expand its footprint in markets requiring stringent security and regulatory compliance.

GDC offers comprehensive software and hardware solutions for data centers and edge environments, addressing key requirements like regulatory adherence, local data processing, system resilience, and ultra-low latency.

The partnership will also explore integrating Google’s Gemini Enterprise and Agentic AI solutions into Samsung’s Cloud Platform (SCP), providing a unified offering for enterprise clients.

Both companies will strengthen their managed service provider (MSP) business by combining Google Cloud Platform’s capabilities with Samsung SDS’s industry expertise to capture a larger market share.

The collaboration extends to enhancing cloud security measures by integrating Google’s cloud security solutions (Wiz) with Samsung SDS’s security and managed service capabilities, focusing on proactive risk management.

Ruth Sun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google Cloud Korea, highlighted the partnership’s potential: This expanded collaboration with Samsung SDS marks a pivotal moment in transforming regulated industries globally through Agentic AI and sovereign cloud capabilities. By combining Gemini Enterprise with Samsung SDS’s deep industry insights, it’s setting new standards for secure, scalable enterprise Intel Corporationligence solutions.

Lee Ho-jun, Vice President and Head of Cloud Services at Samsung SDS, stated that the partnership with Google Cloud will enables to build robust AI and cloud environments tailored for high-security and regulated industries, facilitating enterprise AI adoption. They’re committed to driving AI transformation (AX) innovation across diverse sectors in the coming years.
