The group Treasure has attracted the attention of K-POP fans with their new song “King Kong.”

According to YG Entertainment, Treasure’s “King Kong,” released at 6 PM on May 28, ranked first on the iTunes song charts in 18 regions while securing one of the highest ranks on the worldwide song chart. During their ongoing tour, they showed evenly distributed popularity across the globe, especially marking significant popularity in Japan. Their song went straight to the top of the Rakuten Music and AWA real-time charts, ranking 4th on Line Music Top 100, Japan’s largest local music site.

Their music video also reached the top of YouTube’s Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours. The scene of a thrilling chase in a city and the mysterious foggy island scenes encapsulating the keyword “King Kong” unfolded on a grand scale, earning high praise. The stylish visuals fully showed the members’ characteristics, perfectly blending with the concept.

The explosive performance matching the bold progression of the song is receiving many praises.

Their performance, which included a mix of intuitive choreography, complex break dances, and the addition of the crump genre, was highly enjoyable and left the audience excited for future performances. Meanwhile, Treasure is on its second Asia tour, the 2024 Treasure Relay Tour [Reboot], spanning five cities and nine performances.

Starting in July, the group will embark on a fan meeting tour in Japan. Treasure is also gearing up for the release of a new album targeted for fall, making its way throughout the second half of the year.
