A delegation from Primorsky Krai, currently visiting North Korea, met with Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun and visited the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

The Workers’ Party newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on the 22nd that Prime Minister Kim Tok Hun met with the Governor of Primorsky Krai and the head of the delegation, Oleg Kozhemyako, who paid a courtesy visit to Mansudae Assembly Hall on the 21st.
The meeting was attended by
Minister of External Economic Affairs Yoon Jung Ho, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lim Chun Il, Aleksandr Matsegora, Russian Ambassador to North Korea, and related members of the Primorsky Krai delegation.

The newspaper reported that the talks were conducted in a “comradely and friendly atmosphere.”

The two officials met again for the first time in four months since Governor Kozhemyako visited Pyongyang as the head of the delegation from Primorsky Krai in mid-December last year. This is also their second meeting since the September North Korea-Russia summit last September.

The delegation from Primorsky Krai also visited the newly completed Kangdong Greenhouse Complex.

The newspaper stated, “The delegation members who visited the Kangdong Greenhouse Complex, which was splendidly completed and started operations as a world-class migratory bird production base under the political ideology of the Party’s people-first and self-reliance, toured various greenhouse facilities where modernity, advancement, convenience, and creativity were realized.”

In addition, the delegation visited the National Gift House, Mangyongdae Children’s Palace, the Russian Center at Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies, and the Church of the Life-giving Trinity.

Four months ago, the delegation from Primorsky Krai visited the Chollima Tile Factory, the Taedong River Fruit Processing Factory, and the Masikryong Ski Resort. Since then, group tours to North Korea for Russians have started under the leadership of the Primorsky Krai government.

Primorsky Krai, which borders North Korea and Russia, is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening economic and cultural cooperation between North Korea and Russia in the future.
