The Apprentice, which focuses on revelations about Donald Trump, will be released in South Korea on October 23.

The Apprentice delves into the early life of Donald Trump, tracing his journey from the son of a New York real estate developer to a global real estate tycoon and eventually the President of the United States. Set in the 1970s and ’80s in New York, the film portrays Trump’s rise through illegal activities, threats, fraud, and manipulation under the mentorship of the infamous Roy Cohn. With its critical look at Trump’s ascent, the film is stirring considerable interest as a potential game-changer for the upcoming U.S. presidential election on November 11.

The film garnered significant international attention at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in May, where it competed in the main competition and received an eight-minute standing ovation. However, following its premiere, Trump’s campaign has threatened legal action against the film’s U.S. release, raising doubts about its potential debut in the United States.

The Apprentice is directed by Ali Abbasi, who is acclaimed for his films Border and Holy Spider, which gained him recognition at Cannes. The film stars Sebastian Stan, known globally for his role as Winter Soldier in the Marvel Avengers series, who plays Donald Trump.
