K-pop sensations LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, and KATSEYE have made waves on the U.S. music scene, clinching the 38th spot on Billboard’s prestigious Hot 100 chart with their collaborative single.

The latest Billboard chart, unveiled on Tuesday for the week of June 27, saw the girl groups’ joint effort “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” soar to No. 38 on the Hot 100, marking a significant milestone for the K-pop acts.

What’s particularly impressive is that “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” achieved this feat as a digital-only release, without the backing of a physical album. The track’s success extended to the Billboard Global Songs chart, which factors in streaming and digital download data from over 200 countries and territories worldwide.

Dropped on June 12, “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” is a genre-bending alternative pop track that captivates listeners with its pulsating beats and avant-garde sound design. The song’s infectious hook is an instant earworm, while its lyrics offer a witty commentary on contemporary pop culture, elevating the listening experience to new heights.

This unexpected collaboration brings together LE SSERAFIM from HYBE’s Source Music, ILLIT from BELIF LAB, and KATSEYE from HYBE X Geffen Records. The project, which unites girl groups with distinct musical identities, has been generating buzz since its announcement, showcasing the growing global appeal of K-pop’s diverse landscape.
