Los Angeles Football Club’s (LA FC) Son Heung-min (34) is set to don a special Korean-inspired jersey as he aims to continue his goal-scoring form.

The match kicks off at 11:30 a.m. (KST) on Thursday, with LA FC hosting the New York Red Bulls in their 2026 Major League Soccer (MLS) home fixture at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

After a four-game scoring streak followed by a seven-match drought, Son found the back of the net against Real Salt Lake on September 6. Now, he’s hungry to start another goal-scoring run.

Having alternated between central striker and left winger roles, Son is slated to lead the line as the sole forward in a 4-3-3 formation for this encounter.

Flanking Son on the wings will be Jacob Shaffelburg and Denis Bouanga.

LA FC’s lineup also features key players including Hugo Lloris, Nkosinathi Tafari, and Mark Delgado.

For the New York Red Bulls, Swedish international Emil Forsberg, formerly of RB Leipzig, is set to start.

Currently, LA FC holds the third spot in the Western Conference with a 10-7-7 record (37 points). After a six-game winless streak (four draws, two losses), they’re determined to snap out of it in front of their home crowd.

In a special twist, LA FC has dubbed this match Korean Heritage Night, unveiling a unique Son Heung-min jersey adorned with traditional Dancheong patterns and Hangul lettering.

The club plans to showcase Korean cuisine and culture before and after the game, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening.
