Lee Kang-in’s (25) debut goal for Atlético Madrid (Spain) has been named La Liga’s Goal of the Month for August.
La Liga officials announced on their website on Thursday that Lee Kang-in was selected as the recipient of the La Liga EA Sports Goal of the Month award.
On August 20, during the 2026-27 La Liga season opener against Málaga at the Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Lee found the back of the net with a left-footed long-range strike in the 70th minute. This marked his first goal in his official debut for the club.
The goal perfectly showcased Lee’s signature ability to break through pressure and his powerful shooting skills.
La Liga explained the selection, stating that Lee broke the deadlock in a scoreless match with his brilliant individual skill. It was a fantastic goal that propelled his team to victory.
Lee was also named Man of the Match (MOM) for his outstanding performance in that game.
