Former Big Bang member T.O.P recently shared his thoughts on the group’s 20th anniversary tour.

On September 12, Japan’s Tereasa Channel 1 aired footage from T.O.P’s fan meeting in Japan, titled Re:Union. During the broadcast, the channel also conducted an exclusive interview with the K-pop star.

When asked about his feelings regarding Big Bang’s upcoming world tour – their first in nine years – T.O.P responded that moving forward, he’ll be focusing on his solo career. While he won’t be joining them on stage, he’ll always be their biggest cheerleader, supporting their music and activities. His candid response caught the attention of fans and industry insiders alike.

This isn’t the first time T.O.P has addressed his departure from Big Bang. Last January, during a press event for Netflix’s hit series “Squid Game” Season 2, he reflected on his decision to leave the group, stating that he was the one who caused significant damage to the team.

When questioned about his current relationship with his former bandmates, T.O.P admitted that he’ll carry this guilt for the rest of his life. He added that the weight of my actions still haunts him, making it difficult for him to reach out to them.

T.O.P’s journey with Big Bang began in 2006 when the group debuted. However, his career took a hit in 2016 when he was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years, following a marijuana use conviction.

n a surprise move, T.O.P participated in Big Bang’s digital single “Still Life”‘ in April 2022, before officially parting ways with the group in 2023.

As Big Bang celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, the remaining members – G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung – are embarking on a world tour. Meanwhile, T.O.P is carving out his own path, marking the milestone with solo endeavors.
