Meritz Securities has officially launched “MOUM,” a new financial platform that brings together real-time reactions from domestic and overseas investors, AI-powered investment information, and stock trading in one place.

The company held a launch event at the Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido on the 1st and officially began offering the service.

MOUM was developed over approximately 18 months. It combines the stock-trading functions of a traditional mobile trading system (MTS) with investment information, global communities, and AI-powered analysis.

Users can browse investment information and community content without logging in. After signing in through a social account, they can post in the community, while connecting Meritz Securities’ online-only comprehensive investment account, Super365, enables stock trading and AI analysis. MOUM will operate alongside the existing SMART MTS.

The platform integrates its own stock communities with the communities of U.S. social investing platform Stocktwits and global fintech company Webull. English-language posts from overseas communities are automatically translated, allowing users to compare domestic and international investor sentiment for individual stocks on a single screen.

MOUM also offers investment information powered by finance-focused generative AI. The platform incorporates technology from financial AI company WNSTN and Webull’s “Vega AI.” It analyzes filings from Korea’s DART and the U.S. SEC’s EDGAR, along with corporate earnings, news, and research reports, and summarizes key information.

After connecting a Meritz Securities account, users can receive personalized information on major issues, stock-price movements, and risk factors related to their holdings and watchlist stocks. Users can also ask follow-up questions about individual stocks through AI chat and proceed directly to placing an order on the same platform.

The platform has also introduced “StockPulse,” which displays key stock-related events through icons, including earnings surprises, 52-week highs and lows, spikes in community activity, and golden crosses.

MOUM uses a hybrid structure in which core financial information such as account and fund data is stored in Meritz Securities’ own data centers, while user-facing services operate on the cloud. In cooperation with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company completed load testing based on approximately 50,000 simultaneous users.

MOUM launched domestic and U.S. stock trading services on the 1st. In November, the company plans to add domestic stock margin loans, fractional U.S. stock trading, and stock accumulation services.

Meritz Securities CEO Jang Won-jae predicted that investors will increasingly combine insights from global investors and AI when making investment decisions, while AI agents and quantitative algorithms become more widely used for trading. He also expects investment products to expand beyond stocks and ETFs to options, cryptocurrencies, and security tokens.

Jang said Meritz Securities aims to transform MOUM from a simple stock-trading app into an investment ecosystem where investors can share ideas and strategies and grow together.
