IBM Consulting announced on Wednesday the launch of its AI Integration service, designed to accelerate the use of artificial intelligence (AI) agents in enterprises.

The AI Integration service helps companies leverage AI agents on their preferred AI and cloud platforms to transform business operations and achieve tangible results.

An IBM representative described AI agents as technologies capable of autonomously assessing situations, collecting and analyzing data, and performing tasks with minimal human intervention—offering the potential to reshape how businesses operate fundamentally.

IBM Consulting introduced the concept of Agentic apps, which organically integrate user experience, AI agents, and data into unified business processes.

According to IBM, over 75,000 consultants have earned generative AI-related certifications since 2023, and over 135,000 industry-specific credentials have been issued.

To expedite AI adoption in businesses, IBM Consulting leverages its team of skilled consultants and its generative AI-based consulting platform, IBM Consulting Advantage.

The IBM Consulting Agent Catalyst solution facilitates the creation of Agentic apps using low-code/no-code methodologies to automate complex corporate workflows. It also offers tailored solutions integrating major cloud and AI platforms, such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).

IBM has established strategic partnerships with industry leaders, including Oracle Corporation, Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow. These collaborations enable businesses to innovate their operations across various domains, including purchasing, payments, customer service, and supply chain management, by harnessing customized AI agents and data integration capabilities.

Kim Jong Song, Executive Director of Hybrid Cloud and Data Services at IBM Consulting Korea, noted, “It is difficult to secure high-quality data using complex legacy IT systems.” He emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach that organically links AI assistants, agents, and data to realign entire business processes.

“The AI Integration service is a solution that embodies our expertise and is designed to help companies maximize return on investment (ROI) through business innovation,” he added.
