Qualcomm Technologies announced on Tuesday that it held the Qualcomm IoT Partner Tech Day and unveiled its support policy for the industrial B2B brand, Qualcomm Dragonwing.

The event at the Grand InterContinental Parnas Hotel in Seoul attracted over 200 attendees, including major Korean clients, partners, and developers.

Qualcomm drives innovation by implementing IoT technology across various industrial sectors, including home appliances, robotics, smart factories, manufacturing, and logistics.

The company focused on its recently announced Qualcomm Dragonwing platform. This B2B brand combines artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance and low-power computing, and connectivity. It covers various B2B applications, including industrial IoT, embedded IoT, networking, and infrastructure.

Qualcomm announced its support policies for major operating systems on the Dragonwing IQ series products, including Qualcomm® Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows 11 IoT.

The company also introduced the Dragonwing RB3 Gen 2 Generation Development Kit and IQ-9075 Evaluation Kit, designed to streamline prototype creation for developers.

Qualcomm showcased applications of Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) solutions from Edge Impulse, a recent acquisition.

The company also demonstrated the Qualcomm Intelligent Multimedia SDK, essential for developing multimedia and machine learning services, and the Qualcomm Intelligent Robotics Product SDK, comprising various software modules and SDKs.

Kwon Oh Hyung, Senior Vice President of Qualcomm and President of the Asia-Pacific region, said, “We’re driving digital transformation with high-performance, low-power computing and industry-leading connectivity. Our goal is to support our customers’ product and business innovation by seamlessly integrating hardware, software, and services.”
