Sorcerics has secured a 1 million USD investment from South Park Commons, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, the company announced on Tuesday. This follows pre-seed funding received in 2023 from Mashup Ventures and Devsisters Ventures.

The startup is developing technology that enables users to enjoy a smart environment without the need for direct commands or intervention.

At the heart of their innovation is the artificial intelligence (AI)-powered Socerics Lens, which analyzes spaces and user states in real-time. It proactively offers personalized services, including temperature and lighting adjustments, outfit recommendations, and beverage preparation.

The company boasts a team of top-tier engineers with backgrounds from tech giants like Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Since its seed funding, Socerics has gained recognition for its technological prowess, earning spots in programs such as the TIPS initiative by the Ministry of Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SMEs) and Startups and Nvidia’s Global Collaboration Program.

In preparation for its global debut, Socerics has been conducting product tests with early adopters in the U.S. since June.

As part of this investment deal, Socerics will participate in South Park Commons’ founder development program. This accelerator initiative pairs startups with investor partners for a period of intensive growth, focusing on hypothesis testing, prototype creation, and customer feedback.

Ryu Hyun-jong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Socerics said that they’re targeting a U.S. launch by early next year. Further, their entire team will relocate to Silicon Valley to conduct extensive beta testing. Finally, he noted that this investment and collaboration with local experts will be crucial in establishing a strong foothold in the American market.
