Samsung Electronics is unveiling a range of energy-saving solutions, from residential heat pumps to artificial intelligence (AI) data center cooling systems.
The company announced on Wednesday its participation in the 2026 World Climate Industry Expo (WCE) at BEXCO in Busan, running until September 18.
Samsung has set up a standalone 270㎡ exhibition space to showcase diverse energy-saving technologies for home appliances, AI data centers, and large commercial facilities.
The exhibition features interactive displays with screens and interconnected lighting, allowing visitors to experience energy solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
At the forefront is Samsung’s EHS All-in-One residential heat pump solution.
This innovative system integrates cooling, heating, and hot water supply into a single outdoor unit, improving space utilization and installation ease compared to traditional setups.
The EHS All-in-One offers cooling in summer and heating in winter, with Samsung demonstrating its year-round utility at the expo.
The company also highlights remote monitoring via the SmartThings app and business-to-business (B2B) management features through SmartThings Pro.
Another featured product is the EHS Heat Pump Boiler, which uses air heat and electricity for indoor heating and hot water. This aligns with the government’s push for electric heating solutions.
Samsung’s heat pump solutions have garnered international recognition, including top honors from Germany’s ITQF and awards at European Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) exhibitions.
Collaboration with FläktGroup on AI Data Center Cooling
Samsung is also unveiling cooling solutions for AI data centers and industrial facilities, developed in partnership with recently acquired FläktGroup.
This collaboration aims to address the growing power consumption and heat management challenges in data centers driven by increased AI workloads.
A dedicated SmartThings Pro area showcases real-time energy monitoring and control for commercial facilities and smart buildings, demonstrating practical applications for improved energy efficiency.
For homes, Samsung is promoting high-efficiency appliances and AI-driven energy management.
The residential display features energy-efficient refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, dishwashers, and induction cooktops, along with the energy-saving AI Savings Mode powered by SmartThings.
Samsung also introduced its AI-powered ‘Home Appliance Remote Management’ system and a seven-year software update policy for Wi-Fi-enabled appliances released after 2024.
