LG Electronics is expanding its commercial display business in North America by supplying cutting-edge display solutions to Capital One Arena, Washington D.C.’s premier sports and entertainment venue.
The company announced on Thursday that it had inked a multi-year partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) the previous day to revamp Capital One Arena.
As part of this collaboration, LG will furnish the arena with an array of display solutions, including state-of-the-art direct-view light-emitting diode (LED) displays, LED signage, and commercial televisions (TVs).
Capital One Arena, home to the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Washington Wizards and National Hockey League’s (NHL) Washington Capitals, is a versatile complex that hosts a wide range of events from sports matches to concerts.
LG Electronics will also play a key role in creating an innovative digital space within the arena called Visibowl.
This groundbreaking feature will transform the arena’s corridor walls into an immersive digital display stretching over 500 feet (about 152 meters), allowing spectators to engage with live game and performance content as they move through the venue.
Through this technology, LG aims to enhance the arena experience by supporting various digital interactions, including real-time content streaming, storytelling, wayfinding, and sponsorship opportunities.

The arena will also feature a premium viewing area called the LG Collective. This exclusive space will showcase LG’s advanced display technology, creating an environment where guests can enjoy games, network, and experience top-tier entertainment.
Kwak Do-young, Vice President of LG Electronics North America, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that the collaboration with MSE is ushering in a new era of fan engagement. It’s committed to leveraging the cutting-edge display technology to expand the business-to-business (B2B) opportunities in this exciting market.
