The Korea Creative Content Agency reported on Friday that four domestic indie game companies conducted 76 export consultations, valued at approximately 8.065 million USD, during a gaming event in Sweden.

The event, known as the 2026 Sweden Game Conference, took place from October 15 to 16 at the Heby Cultural Center. It attracted over 1,000 attendees, including developers, distributors, investors, and students, who participated in game demonstrations and business meetings.

The participating companies were Gawon Global, Gideon Games, Diader, and H-Love. The Korea Creative Content Agency’s Sweden Business Center facilitated connections with local business contacts and provided dedicated consultation spaces for these firms.

User feedback was also gathered at the exhibition booths. Notably, about 40% of visitors to the participating companies’ booths added the showcased games to their wish lists on Steam, the global PC gaming distribution platform.

The companies also visited six game studios and incubators in Stockholm and Heby, including Low Fury, Paradox Interactive, Stunlock Studios, and Coffee Stain Studios. These visits focused on discussing development and distribution strategies, as well as potential collaboration opportunities.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Korea Creative Content Agency has supported domestic companies’ participation in the event. Last year’s participating Korean game companies were the first international participants in the event’s history.

Jeong Ji-soo, executive producer at Gireon Games, shared his insights: It was striking to see how local publishers value not just the performance of individual game titles, but also prioritize close collaboration with development studios and long-term growth potential.

Looking ahead, the Korea Creative Content Agency plans to support domestic companies’ participation in the Nordic Game event scheduled for May 2027. This initiative aims to expand Nordic distribution channels by leveraging local business consultations and networking opportunities.
