LIG Defense & Aerospace (LIG D&A) has made a strategic move to expand its footprint in the United States by establishing its first local subsidiary.

On Wednesday, LIG D&A announced the launch of LIG Defense U.S. Inc. This new entity will spearhead comprehensive efforts to penetrate the U.S. defense market.

LIG U.S. has brought on board retired Vice Admiral Rich Brown, former Commander of U.S. Pacific Fleet Surface Forces, as its senior advisor.

With his extensive experience in overseeing fleet operations and enhancing the combat readiness of surface forces, Brown is seen as the ideal candidate to strengthen ties with the U.S. Navy and drive business expansion.

LIG D&A has been actively reinforcing its global network by operating local offices in key regions, including Europe, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, and Malaysia.

Shin Ik-hyun, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LIG D&A, stated that he establishment of the U.S. subsidiary demonstrates our commitment to becoming a trusted partner in the U.S. defense industry. It will strive to serve as a vital link in U.S.-Korea defense cooperation.
