
NVIDIA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang has ranked South Korea’s artificial intelligence (AI) competitiveness among the top three globally. He emphasized the critical importance of building AI infrastructure for the future and announced plans to establish AI factories in collaboration with SK Group.
Speaking at SK’s headquarters in Seoul, Huang remarked that South Korea has made incredible strides over the past 20 to 25 years. He added that the semiconductor industry here is world-class, and Korea is at the forefront of AI innovation. Huang further praised Korea’s achievements, stating that ranking third globally in AI is a remarkable feat.
Huang noted the explosive growth in global demand for AI infrastructure. He outlined plans to expand NVIDIA’s long-term partnership with SK, focusing on building AI factories and jointly developing a roadmap for next-generation technologies.
In related news, SK Telecom and NVIDIA announced an agreement to review their AI infrastructure roadmap and pursue group-level collaboration.
As the primary executor of this partnership, SK Telecom aims to leverage its close ties with NVIDIA to establish Asia’s largest AI infrastructure, dubbed the AI Factory.
