Major League Baseball (MLB) superstar Shohei Ohtani has purchased a luxurious mansion near his home stadium, Dodger Stadium.
The LA Times reported on May 23 (KST) that Ohtani had purchased a mansion worth approximately $7.85 million in La Cañada Flintridge near Dodger Stadium. The seller was reported to be American comedian Adam Carolla. The 11-year-old, three-story mansion is 7,319 square feet in size, with 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, and includes amenities such as a sauna, movie theater, swimming pool, gym, and a basketball court.
Ohtani’s new home is about 13 miles from Dodger Stadium, so he will likely commute from this house for home games.
As of May 22, Ohtani signed a ten-year, $700 million contract with the LA Dodgers this past winter and has delivered impressive performances. He boasts a .356 batting average, 13 homers, 34 RBIs, 39 runs, 69 hits, a .425 on-base percentage, and an OPS of 1.080.
