Samsung SDS has been elevated to a higher partner tier by global artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic. This marks the first such case in South Korea, paving the way for closer collaboration between the two firms.
Samsung SDS announced on Tuesday that it has become the first South Korean company to achieve Select Tier Partner status in Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network (CPN).
Anthropic offers tiered benefits to its partners. The Select Tier represents a formal partnership, granting a badge that signifies the partner’s certified technical expertise and proven track record in implementing solutions for joint customers in real-world scenarios.
Previously, Samsung SDS had secured authorization as a reseller to supply and support the implementation and operation of Claude through Amazon Web Services (AWS)’s generative AI platform, Amazon Bedrock.
With this new Select Tier status, Samsung SDS has bolstered its comprehensive AI implementation system. This system now covers the entire process from Claude implementation consulting to service deployment and operation, as well as technical support via Amazon Bedrock.
The two companies forged a strategic partnership during the San Francisco AI Summit, spearheaded by the South Korean government in July. They are now ramping up efforts to expand Claude-based enterprise AI solutions in the South Korean market.
Chris Chaouris, Head of Go-To-Market at Anthropic International, commented that Samsung SDS has demonstrated exceptional technical prowess and industry insight in applying AI to real-world business scenarios within enterprise environments. Their achievement of Select Tier status in the Anthropic Claude Partner Network will further strengthen the strategic collaboration. It’s committed to empowering South Korean companies to maximize productivity and drive innovation through Claude.
Lee Jun-hee, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Samsung SDS, stated that by combining Anthropic’s cutting-edge AI technology with Samsung SDS’s extensive experience in digital transformation across various industries, it aims to accelerate AI adoption among South Korean companies and generate tangible business value. It will integrate global AI technologies like Claude with Samsung SDS’s multidimensional AI full stack to ensure the customers achieve successful AI transformation experiences.
